Microsoft Teams' attendance report, compared with AttendSure

After a scheduled Teams meeting, the organiser and co-organisers can download an attendance report from the meeting's Attendance tab or chat. It lists who attended, when each person joined and left, and how long they stayed. It's useful for confirming who connected.

This page compares AttendSure with that report specifically.

Why the Teams attendance report is sometimes missing

  • Only the organiser and co-organisers can see it.
  • It isn't available for instant channel meetings.
  • An IT admin can switch attendance reports off for the organisation.
  • By default, attendees can choose not to be named in it.

What the Teams report doesn't show

  • When each person's camera was off, and for how long. Teams' engagement data only counts how many attendees turned a camera on.
  • Whether participants confirmed they were present partway through.
  • Breaks, which it counts the same as training time.
