A Google Meet attendance tracker that sees more than who joined
Google Meet's own attendance report is only included on some Google Workspace plans, and it lists who joined and for how long. For live training you also need to know whether people were really there, with their camera on, while you were teaching.
AttendSure tracks attendance and camera status in live Google Meet meetings, on any Google account. There's no browser extension to install. You paste the meeting link, admit AttendSure, and it keeps a timestamped record of the whole session.
Free 14-day trial. No credit card required.
Does Google Meet track attendance?
Only on some plans. Google Workspace Essentials, Business Plus, Enterprise, Education Plus and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade can email the organiser an attendance sheet after the meeting. Free Gmail accounts and Business Starter and Standard don't get one. Where it is included, it lists names, emails, join and exit times and duration, but nothing about cameras.

- Live View. See every participant's camera status in real time.
- Camera-off timers. When a camera goes off, that person's timer starts automatically.
- Alerts. If someone stays off camera beyond your threshold (5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes), you're alerted. You can also choose to post a general reminder to the meeting chat. It never names anyone.
- Presence Check. Once in each interval, AttendSure asks everyone in the chat to reply. Each reply is recorded against the person's name, and you see who missed it.
- Trainer Break Control. Timers and Presence Checks pause during breaks, so break time never counts against anyone.
- Keeps going if your laptop sleeps. Once AttendSure is in the meeting, monitoring carries on even if you close the tab.
- Detailed reports. Arrival and leave times, attendance duration, camera events and Presence Checks, ready to export to Excel.

Good to know: Some Google Workspace organisations only let their own users join meetings. If AttendSure can't get in, the meeting needs to allow people outside the organisation. Google Meet monitoring uses AttendSure Hours; every organisation starts with 5 free hours.
Privacy built in. AttendSure does not record or store meeting video or audio, and does not use facial recognition or biometrics.
